Our Doctor
Dr. Douglas Savelberg was born and raised in Stratford, Ontario. His family later moved to Napanee, ON. Dr. Savelberg graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelors of Science, as well as, his Doctor of Optometry in 1985. Following graduation Dr. Savelberg opened his own practice in Belleville, ON, where he is the primary optometrist overseeing his office of one associate and four staff members.
Dr. Savelberg's areas of special interest include glaucoma and macular degeneration screening, pre-/post-operative care, pediatric/preschool assessments, contact lenses, and diabetic retinopathy. Throughout his career, Dr. Savelberg has offered the senior outreach community, by providing retirement and senior residences with the opportunity to have their eye health assessed and eyeglass prescription updated. Also, Dr. Savelberg has always found it essential to donate glasses to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, of which are distributed to those in need in Canada and around the world. |

Lorraine
When entering our office you will first meet Lorraine, our receptionist, who will be happy to help you schedule appointments, maintain your records, handle payments, and other related matters. |
Pamela
Pamela is our optometric clinical assistant who will be assisting the optometrists by performing pre-testing and diagnostic procedures, as directed, which will assist the doctors in deepening their knowledge about your eye health and for the management of any eye conditions. |
Jacqueline
In the eyeglass dispensary you will find a lens consultant that will work in conjunction with the doctor to ensure you receive our highest quality lens wear for your needs. She will be available to assist you with your eyewear selection, fittings, adjustments, and/or repairs. |
